I liked the flow of thoughts penned in HBR blog; link mentioned below, added few of my thoughts.
“Change is a threat when done to me, but an opportunity when done by me” – Everyone in the team should think this way, and to think that way change should address concerns of each and give each to use the change to address the same. Change would succeed if it is nurtured bottom up.
“A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step” – Do not get overwhelmed by the task, start it with all your will-power (Sankalpam – Sanskrit) after some resistance even five-elements of nature would bow to you (Upanishads)
"Change is a campaign, not a decision." – Change is bound to get resistance by virtue of its character, Change should be campaign, with constant communication, tools and materials, milestones, reminders, and rewards.
